Old Navy, Gap Fail to Exit Suit Over Allegedly Deceptive Pricing

Old Navy LLC and parent Gap Inc. must keep defending against a proposed class suit alleging they dupe consumers with bogus discounts and made-up “original” prices, a federal court in Washington said.

Anna Nemykina alleged she visited the Old Navy website in December 2016 to shop for Christmas gifts and bought 21 items, thinking she was getting a special bargain. But the sales are fake because the Old Navy items are “rarely if ever” offered at the supposed higher original price, she alleged.
