Old Navy, Consumers Reach Settlement in Deceptive Pricing Suit

Old Navy LLC and parent Gap Inc. have reached a class settlement that would resolve claims they dupe consumers with bogus discounts and made-up “original” prices, filings in a Washington federal court show.

Anna Nemykina alleged she visited the Old Navy website in December 2016 to shop for Christmas gifts and bought 21 items, thinking she was getting a special bargain. But the sales are fake because the Old Navy items are “rarely if ever” offered at the supposed higher original price, her proposed class suit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington alleged.
