N.Y. Joint Asbestos Trials Unfair, Industry Groups Argue

Consolidated asbestos exposure trials in New York should be sharply limited because they run the risk of confusing juries and jeopardizing the rights of defendants, according to an amicus brief filed by manufacturers and other industry-related groups in the New York Court of Appeals (Konstantin v. 630 Third Ave. Ass’n, N.Y., APL-2014-00317, amicus curiae brief filed 3/1/16).
