Nurture Gets Claims Trimmed in Baby Food Nutrition False-Ad Suit

Danone SA unit Nurture Inc. got claims narrowed in a proposed class action over baby and toddler food marketing, as a federal court in California said a consumer adequately alleged certain truthful nutrition statements were unlawful on young children’s food, but didn’t allege they were misleading.

Melissa Sanchez alleged that Nurture makes nutrition claims that are prohibited by the Food and Drug Administration on foods meant for children younger than 2.
