NTB Faces Most Claims in Class Suit Over New Tire Paperwork

Two Virginia consumers adequately alleged that National Tire and Battery dealers in Virginia failed to register new tires with their manufacturers when selling them, a federal court in Florida ruled Tuesday in a proposed class action.

Warranty, negligence, and other claims can proceed against NTB and its parent company, TBC Corp., even though the regulation requiring registration doesn’t provide a private right of action, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida said.
