The NFL isn’t liable on claims it intentionally interfered with a business relationship between EA Sports and a fantasy football convention operator, a Texas appeals court ruled.
The National Football League’s expressed concern over the unauthorized use of its logo in promoting the 2016 National Fantasy Football Convention, which included an EA Sports Madden NFL 17 video game attraction, didn’t amount to tortious interference with a contract, the Texas Court of Appeals, Fifth District, said May 22.
