New Balance, Nintendo, Others Face Braille Gift Card Claims

Nintendo of America Inc., New Balance Athletics Inc., Warby Parker Retail Inc., Rebecca Minkoff LLC, and Rag & Bone Holdings LLC were hit with proposed class action claims for failing to sell store gift cards to consumers that contain writing in braille.

Steven Matzura, alleges the companies denied full and equal access to their store gift cards, and therefore denied access to their products and services, in violation of his rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and state and municipal human rights laws.

Matzura, a New York resident, is legally blind and requires braille to read written material. ...
