Nellie’s Free Range Egg Buyer, Producer Settle Deception Lawsuit

A consumer’s deception claims against the producer of Nellie’s Free Range eggs have been dismissed following a settlement.

Constance Mogull sued Pete & Gerry’s Organics LLC in 2021 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. She alleged the company duped retail purchasers, who would think the eggs come from hens that are able to move freely and roam outdoors, when they’re actually kept in overcrowded sheds.
