Consumers alleging that Nature’s Bounty Co. dupes consumers about the effectiveness of its Osteo Bi-Flex glucosamine joint-health supplements didn’t show that the company made any false or deceptive statements, a federal court said in dismissing the suit for now.
Carol Whyble and other lead plaintiffs filed a proposed class suit in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York challenging various statements, including that the product could “strengthen joints,” “support flexibility,” and “support mobility.”
