A real estate development and management company affiliated with Olivet Nazarene University will pay $575,000 to settle allegations it violated the Clean Air Act by mishandling the removal of asbestos while renovating an abandoned psychiatric center.
In addition to the civil penalties, Dover Greens LLC will comply with all Clean Air Act requirements for renovating the remainder of the campus, under the terms of the consent decree filed Jan. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
