Mott’s Apple Juice Suit Can Only Proceed in State Court

A proposed class suit can’t proceed in federal court that alleges Mott’s LLP deceptively markets its 100 percent apple juice by placing a “no added sugar” label on it. The suit may go forward in state court though.

Mohammed Rahman, who filed the suit, can’t continue with his effort to get the label changed in federal court because now that he knows what the label means, he can’t be harmed by the advertising, a federal trial court held.
