Minor Leaguers Get Ninth Circuit OK for Wage Class Action (1)

Minor league baseball players pressing wage and hour claims against Major League Baseball can proceed as a class action in several states and as a federal case, an appeals court said.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit revived the class action status on Aug. 16 for the cases in Arizona and Florida, where players participate in spring training each year, and confirmed the case will move forward in California and as a federal collective action, as well.
