Mercedes-Benz Defeats Tire Configuration Defect Class Lawsuit

Mercedes-Benz USA LLC convinced a federal judge to toss a proposed class action alleging certain of its vehicle models had a wheel configuration that caused tires to blow out or puncture easily.

The plaintiffs’ statements and arguments “underscore the shapelessness” of their allegations, Judge Thomas W. Thrash Jr. of the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia said Monday.
