Medical Kit Maker Gets Ruling Against Eyewash Supplier Affirmed

Stradis Health Care LLC convinced a federal appeals court Wednesday that it’s entitled to indemnification from Geri-Care Pharmaceuticals Corp. in a products liability case concerning contaminated surgical eyewash.

The US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit affirmed the indemnification judgment against Geri-Care in a dispute brought by KeraLink International Inc. over the contaminated eyewashes, which were purchased for use in transplants of corneas and other tissue.

KeraLink had bought surgical packs that included eyewash among other products from Stradis, who had bought the eyewash from a third party, who in turn bought it from Geri-Care. The eyewash had originally ...
