SANTA ANA, Calif.—The federal judge overseeing consolidated lawsuits against Toyota Motor Corp. related to sudden acceleration said he would name during the week of May 17 the attorneys who will serve leadership positions in the multidistrict litigation (In re Toyota Motor Corp. Unintended Acceleration Marketing, Sales Practices, and Products Liability Litigation).
Judge James V. Selna of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California made the announcement May 13, after hearing from nearly 80 lawyers from across the country who seek key roles in the proceedings.
