McKesson Defeats Arizona Residents’ Claims Over MRI Contrast Dye

McKesson Corp. doesn’t have to face claims by three Arizona residents who allege they were injured by its contrast dye after they failed to show that it is capable of causing the alleged injuries in the population at large.

The plaintiffs can’t proceed with their claims because they failed to present expert evidence establishing general causation, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona said.

The plaintiffs, Hilary Davis, Srihari Munnuru, and Susan Fischer were administered gadolinium-based contrast agents while receiving magnetic resonance imaging scans. The GBCAs allegedly caused them to develop gadolinium deposition disease.
