Mazda Owners Sue Carmaker Alleging Engine Coolant Leakage

Mazda Motor of America Inc. was hit with a proposed class action lawsuit accusing the company of selling 2016 to 2020 vehicle models with engine’s that leaked coolant and caused sudden stalling as a result.

Four Mazda owners, who say their car engines began malfunctioning because of the alleged coolant leak defect, filed identical complaints Wednesday in the US District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California.

The car owners say models with Skyactiv-g engines, Mazda’s direct-injection gasoline engine, can leak coolant in the cylinder head, which seals the combustion chamber of the engine. Mazda markets the engine ...
