Mazda Deal to Resolve Infotainment Glitch Lawsuit Gets First Nod

Mazda Motor of America Inc. consumers won preliminary approval for a settlement agreement resolving claims that the company’s Mazda Connect infotainment centers regularly experienced multiple technical glitches.

The US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky granted preliminary approval of the settlement agreement on Monday. Judge Benjamin Beaton set the final approval hearing for August. The deal will reimburse car owners and lessees up to $1,750 per vehicle and automatically extends the limited warranty on all class vehicles.
