Consumers may proceed with a suit alleging that the fire-retardant fiberglass sleeves on Zinus Inc. mattresses shed glass fibers, causing irritation, asthma, and damage to heating systems and appliances, a federal court in Illinois ruled.
The Illinois residents among the named plaintiffs may continue to assert claims on behalf of a proposed nationwide and an Illinois statewide class, at least for now, Judge David W. Dugan said.
