The maker of 5-Hour Energy products deceptively touts its supplement as superior to other, cheaper energy boosters such as coffee or caffeine pills, a California man alleges Jan. 28 in a proposed consumer class suit filed in federal court in that state (Soto v. Innovation Ventures LLC d/b/a Living Essentials LLC, C.D. Cal., No. 13-591).
