L’Oreal U.S.A., Inc. will have to face class suits by New York and Florida customers alleging it deceptively touts a hair relaxer marketed to African-American women as gentle (In re Amla Litig., 2017 BL 380693, S.D.N.Y., 16-6593, 10/24/17).
The product, Amla Legend Rejuvenating Ritual Relaxer, causes irritation and hair loss, plaintiffs say.
