L’Oreal USA Inc. and Matrix Essentials LLC will have to face a proposed consumer suit alleging the companies tricked them into buying so-called Keratin hair products that didn’t contain any of the protective protein (Price v. L’Oréal USA, Inc., 2017 BL 359194, S.D.N.Y., 17-0614, 10/5/17).
Brandi Price and Christine Chadwick alleged L’Oreal and Matrix deceptively touted Matrix Biolage Keratindose Pro-Keratin + Silk Shampoo, Pro-Keratin + Silk Conditioner, and Pro-Keratin Renewal Spray.
