A Wantagh, N.Y., restaurant isn’t liable for a fatal fight between two of its patrons, a New York appeals court ruled.
The altercation between Keith Satriana and Robert Roll was both unforeseeable and outside the control of Shooters Tiki Bar & Grill, the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, Second Department, said Dec. 26.
Satriana died in the altercation outside the Wantagh cafe. His estate filed a wrongful death action against the restaurant for negligence in failing to protect him.
