LG Settlement Over Breakdown-Prone Fridges Gets Court’s Final OK

A settlement between LG Electronics U.S.A. Inc. and refrigerator owners is adequate, as was the notice given to members of the class, a federal judge in New Jersey said in granting the deal final approval.

Attorneys for the class earned their fees through “vigorous and effective pursuit of the claims” in two class actions consolidated for settlement, Judge Madeline Cox Arleo said for the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in a separate order.
