LG Forces Dishwasher Control Panel Defect Suit Into Arbitration

A consumer suing LG Electronics USA Inc. over alleged flaws in a dishwasher must individually arbitrate his claims, a federal judge said in dismissing a proposed class suit.

Mark Wheeler sued in the US District Court for the Eastern District of California, alleging that defects allow moisture to get into the electronic control panel, making the panel unresponsive and causing the appliance to stop working.
