Lenovo Defeats Suit Claiming Defective Convertible Laptop Hinges

Lenovo US Inc. convinced a federal judge to dismiss a proposed class action from a who said his flimsy 14w laptop didn’t live up to company statements that the hinges are reliable and functional for years.

The US District Court for the Middle District of Florida on Wednesday said Alex Volinsky lacked standing for some claims and failed to plead others with enough particularity.
