Kraft Heinz Foods Sued Over Maxwell House Coffee Packaging

Maxwell House coffee canisters exaggerate the number of cups the ground coffee inside will make, according to a new would-be class suit in an Illinois federal court.

Manufacturer Kraft Heinz Foods Co. “employs a classic bait-and-switch scheme that causes unsuspecting consumers to spend more money for less than the advertised amount of coffee they believe they are purchasing,” the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois alleges.
