Kia America to Recall 79,812 US Vehicles on Engine Issue: NHTSA

Kia America is recalling certain 2011 Sorento vehicles because an engine compartment fire may occur while driving, according to a statement from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

• Owner notification letters expected to be mailed Feb. 9
• Separately, Volkswagen Group of America (Audi) is recalling 26,866 units of certain 2020-2022 E-Tron Sportback Quattro and 2019-2022 E-Tron Quattro vehicles, as some high-voltage battery modules may overheat and increase the risk of a fire
  • Interim owner notification letters expected to be mailed Feb. 16. Second notice to come once the remedy is available, expected in 3Q
