Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. deceptively portrays its “Straight Up Tea” as low in sugar, seeking to capitalize on consumer awareness of the health problems caused by excessive sugar consumption, a new proposed class suit in California federal court alleges.

The tea is marketed to consumers as being “Sorta Sweet,” Robbin Sommer says.

“Sorta,” slang for “sort of,” is understood as “slightly,” which is defined as “small … in amount,” the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California says.
