Keurig Competitor Can’t Shake Certified Class

Sturm Foods Inc. will continue to face a certified class of customers alleging that pods marketed for use in Keurig coffeemakers contain instant coffee instead of premium (Suchanek v. Sturm Foods, Inc., 2017 BL 302324, S.D. Ill., No. 11-CV-565, 8/28/17).

If class certification were reversed in this small-dollar action, it’s unlikely that customers would pursue their claims individually.

Customers alleged they were deceived into paying more for the company’s Grove Square Coffee pods than they would have paid for instant coffee.
