Juul Labs Inc. has asked a federal judicial panel to coordinate 10 product liability suits and proposed class actions alleging its vaping products are designed to attract minors.
Four cases are already consolidated in a federal court in California, but the burden of trying to transfer cases there individually increases as more cases are filed, the company told the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation July 29.
The panel should create a multidistrict litigation in that court—the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California—the San Francisco-based company said.
