Jury Must Determine Chantix Use in Suicide Case

A jury must decide whether a woman who had been prescribed Chantix was actually taking the smoking cessation drug before she committed suicide, the federal court overseeing multidistrict litigation said Nov. 19, denying summary judgment to manufacturer Pfizer Inc. (Chantix (Varenicline) Product Liability Litigation, In re, N.D. Ala., No. 10-724).
