A talcum powder ovarian cancer suit against Johnson & Johnson meets the new expert evidence standards set by the New Jersey Supreme Court, the plaintiff says.
Brandi Carl told a state appeals court her suit should be reinstated and go back to the trial court for a fresh look under the new rules.
J&J faces talcum powder suits by more than 10,000 plaintiffs, it said in an Aug. 2 securities filing. The bulk of the talc litigation is in a combined federal proceeding in New Jersey, according to a filing in that proceeding.
