Indivior to Pay $600M Total for Civil/Criminal Opioid Liability

Invidior Solutions will pay $600 million total to resolve the company’s civil and criminal liabilities related to marketing Suboxone, an opioid-addiction-treatment drug, the Department of Justice announced today.

  • Includes $289 million in criminal penalties
  • The investigation and prosecution of Invidior Solutions, its parent companies, two former executives and a resolution with previous parent Reckitt Benckiser Group resulted in more than $2 billion of recoveries
  • In connection with its guilty plea, Invidior admitted to making false statements regarding the safety of Suboxone
