Honeywell Settles Family’s Airplane Engine Defect Claims

Honeywell International Inc. and airplane modifier Texas Turbine Conversions have settled engine-part defect claims by the family of an Alaska pilot who died in a crash, according to documents filed in federal court in the state.

The two companies are the only defendants remaining in the complex, long-running case. The estates and family members of passengers who died in the 2013 incident are proceeding toward trial against Honeywell and TTC.
