American Honda Motor Co. secured a federal judge’s final approval for a settlement with drivers who alleged vehicles equipped with hands-free Bluetooth systems drained their cars’ batteries.
Judge Jon S. Tigar of the US District Court for the Northern District of California approved the deal Wednesday. The settlement will reimburse class members who paid out-of-pocket to replace parts in the Bluetooth system up to $500, or $350 for class members who had their hands-free-link unit disconnected, according to the motion for final approval.
