Strict liability and negligence claims alleging homeopathic teething tablets contained excess amounts of the toxin belladonna and caused a child’s seizures may continue as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky denied July 6 an early-round motion to dismiss

According to the suit filed against manufacturers Standard Homeopathic Co. and Hyland’s Inc., Jacquelyn Hetteburg purchased Hyland’s Teething Tablets for her infant son. On three occasions in August 2010, while using the tablets, her son was taken to the emergency room with seizures.
