Health-Ade LLC deceptively markets its line of kombucha drinks as healthful despite a high sugar content that contradicts their name, according to a new would-be class action in a California federal court.
The brand “Health-Ade” conveys the message that the fermented tea drinks “aid health,” and the company’s marketing has helped its products become the fastest-selling kombucha in America, Californians Brandon Johnson-Jack and Michael Xavier allege.
