Guardrail Maker Lindsay Settles Highway Fatality Lawsuit

Lindsay Corp. has settled claims that one of its guardrail end-caps failed to telescope backward when a 17-year-old driver struck it, causing her death, according to a mediation report filed mid-trial in federal court in Tennessee.

The terms of the settlement weren’t disclosed in the filing Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Attorneys for the parties haven’t responded to requests for information and comment about the agreement.
