A coalition of public health and environmental advocates sued the Trump administration Wednesday, claiming that exemptions to toxic emission limits granted to industrial facilities exceed presidential authority and opens up communities to additional years of extra pollution.
Air Alliance Houston, Concerned Citizens of St. John, RISE St. James, and other groups filed their lawsuit at the US District Court for the District of Columbia, asking that the court declare the regulatory exemption unlawful under the Clean Air Act and stop the administration from implementing the exemptions for the synthetic organic chemical manufacturing industry.
