GoDaddy Enrolls, Charges Customers Without Consent, Lawsuit Says

Web services company GoDaddy.com LLC allegedly uses existing customers’ payment information to enroll them in new services when they browse its website, a new lawsuit filed in the Western District of Washington alleges.

GoDaddy allegedly charged startup investment firm Wyttmab LLC $240 plus tax for a “premium tier” service that Wyttmab never agreed to purchase.

Wyttmab seeks to represent a statewide class of GoDaddy customers in the suit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
