GM Sued Over Chevy Malibus Allegedly Losing Power at High Speed (1)

General Motors LLC made and sold thousands of Chevy Malibu cars that are prone to sudden losses of power, often at highway speeds, a Maryland vehicle owner says in a new complaint.

Acceleration in 2016–2018 Malibus is controlled by a defective electronic throttle control (ETC) system, and/or sensors that communicate the position of the gas pedal, plaintiff Katrina Hutchinson alleges on behalf of a proposed nationwide class. She filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland May 24.
