GM Says ‘Accidents Happen’ in Ignition Switch Flaw Trial

Sometimes, “accidents just happen,” a lawyer for General Motors Co. told a U.S. jury in defense of the carmaker at a test trial over a deadly flaw in millions of ignition switches (In re Gen. Motors LLC Ignition Switch Litig. (Abney v. Gen. Motors LLC), S.D.N.Y., 1:14-md-02543, opening statement 3/14/16).
