GM Must Face Car Owner’s ‘Chevy Shake’ Class Claims in Florida

A Florida consumer’s claims that General Motors LLC sold vehicles with defective driveshafts prone to shuddering and falling off may proceed on behalf of a statewide class, the Southern District of Florida ruled.

But Chevrolet Silverado owner Douglas Weiss can’t represent a nationwide class on breach-of warranty claims, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida said.
