GM Hit With Proposed Class Action Over Cadillac Touch Screen

General Motors LLC was hit with a proposed nation-wide class action alleging the company concealed a known touch screen defect from customers who bought or leased 2013–2017 Cadillac vehicles.

The Cadillac User Experience touch screen display spontaneously delaminates, bubbles, or cracks, rendering it useless, the complaint says.

The CUE system handles climate, navigation, the back-up camera, and audio/Bluetooth/communications.

The defect poses a serious safety risk to drivers, who can become dangerously distracted, the proposed class alleges.
