Global Recalls for Volkswagen Tiguans, Jetta Hybrids

Volkswagen Group is recalling 800,000 Tiguan vehicles worldwide because a fuse may trip in affected vehicles, resulting in light circuit failures, the company said Nov. 14. Some 62,155 of the model year 2009–2011 Tiguans are in the U.S. market, Volkswagen said.

Volkswagen is also globally recalling certain model year 2013–2014 Jetta Hybrids. Volkswagen did not give the total number of Jetta Hybrids subject to the recall. But in the U.S., approximately 3,836 vehicles are affected, the company said. Electric malfunctions can occur in the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox if synthetic oil is used.
