Getaroom Booking Company Sued for Masquerading as Hotels

Consumer Club Inc., a third-party booking company that does business as Getaroom, dupes consumers into thinking they are making reservations directly with a hotel, imposes massive fees, and doesn’t allow cancellations, a new lawsuit alleges.

Getaroom’s online ads and search engine results mislead thousands of consumers into believing they are dealing directly with hotels, Christian and Jonna Sander allege in a proposed class suit in the Central District of California.

When contacted by telephone, company representatives identify themselves as the “reservations department,” the Sanders allege.
