Georgia-Pacific, Others to Pay $8.5 Million for Harbor Clean Up

Georgia-Pacific LLC, Owens Corning, and other companies tentatively agreed to clean up Port Angeles Harbor in a proposed consent decree in federal district court.

Investigations by the federal government and the companies have found metals, semivolatile organic compounds, phthalates, and other hazardous substances at the harbor site, according to the proposed consent decree filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
