General Mills Dodges Suit Alleging Cheerios Contained Weedkiller

General Mills Inc. dodged a proposed class suit alleging it failed to tell consumers that Cheerios cereals contained undisclosed traces of the weedkiller glyphosate.

Mounira Doss lacks standing to pursue her claims because she hasn’t shown she suffered any injury by purchasing the cereals, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida said June 14.

Glyphosate, the main ingredient in Roundup, is often sprayed on oats as a drying agent just before they are harvested.
