Fortnite, Roblox Makers Avoid Consolidation in Addiction Suits

The makers of popular video games Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft escaped the consolidation of more than 20 lawsuits accusing them of designing the games to be psychologically addictive to children.

The lawsuits’ claims could lead to “a large tangle of defendants and products” that would be too unwieldy for a single judge to manage, the US Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation said Wednesday.
